Heather has been actively involved in the training and formation of analytical psychotherapists for the last 10 years. She is currently a member of the Training Committee of the BPC/UKCP accredited Qualifying Course in Jungian Analytical Psychotherapy at the West Midlands Institute of Psychotherapy in Birmingham. She has been Director of Training here twice - from 2010 - 2013 and from 2016-2017 and believes that a significant component of the formation of a counsellor / psychotherapist is shaped in an apprenticeship model in which more experienced colleagues contribute to the development of trainees.

For this reason, Heather offers a 12 month internship in her independent practice for a senior trainee on a psychodynamic, Jungian analytic or psychoanalytic training course. This comprises a clinical placement and at least fortnightly clinical supervision within the practice.
